Hey, I'm Kierin.

I'm a rider, a storyteller, and an educator at heart. I grew up in the Alberta foothills with the Rockies always in view, and that landscape taught me how I like to live. Earn the view. Respect the weather. Stay curious.

I'm not out here to talk over anyone. I'm here to listen and learn. I ride into the small towns people pass by, meet the folks who keep them going, and try to understand what makes a place hold together. I take a simple approach to the road and to life. Ask good questions, stay open, and reflect on what the day taught me. wandrwest is where I share those lessons, one ride and one story at a time.

The Bike

Wandr is my BMW F900 GS Adventure, and it has a way of making distance feel smaller. The bike hums under me like a steady heartbeat, cutting through morning cold and long highway stretches without complaint. It feels engineered for more than I will probably ever demand, and that is exactly what I love about it. There is always capability in reserve. When the road breaks up or the weather shifts, it does not get twitchy. It gets calm. Smooth throttle, planted handling, and a composed ride that lets my shoulders drop. Wandr gives me confidence without asking me to prove anything.

The Mission

wandrwest is built the same way I try to ride. Calm, curious, and ready for whatever shows up. This space is for people who feel pulled toward the horizon, even if they are not trying to prove anything. You do not need the biggest plan or the boldest story. You just need a reason to start, and a willingness to stay open to what the road teaches.

Through blog posts, videos, and the adventure map, I want to share the full ride, not just the polished parts. The wind, the weather, the wrong turns, the fixes, and the kindness that shows up along the way. I'm an educator at heart, so each trip becomes a field lesson. I ask questions, I listen, and I reflect on what each place offers. The goal is simple. Make adventure feel possible, keep it honest, and leave a little capability in reserve for whatever comes next.
